The most famous people on earth have been to see her play soccer in Jerusalem throughout decades. She is Beitar Yerushalim, Israel’s official Jerusalem soccer team. Jerusalem has had a great win this week before her games even begin with her new partner! The fans are passionate for the team. The Israelis and worldwide global fans are not the only ones who are passionate about The team however.
Over the next decade 90 million dollars is pledged by Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Nahyan and Moshe Hogeg. Here we have a Jewish Billionaire and a royal family member of the UAE. In the sports deal of the century Jerusalem will see expansion of training for new youth, infrastructures and bonds of peace through sport. Jerusalem is the holy city, she is officially known as the city of peace, Salam is also in Arabic or shalom in Hebrew. Jerusalem is where the prince of peace will come rule and reign according to the Christian Scriptures. Jesus Himself is known as the prince of peace. Yet this agreement brings about a Jew and a Moslem.
The newly joined partnership, when asked for a statement, both said just after the deal was signed that this is a perfect way to achieve peace. The team has refused to let Arab players on the team as a fact. This week however they emphatically Say that soccer is a peace avenue and the new partners will not listen to “uneducated” hatred or bias towards those who disagree with the Moslems and Jews joining together. They also welcome any player Who they deem is qualified to train or play for the holy city. So while many are fighting and arguing in the old spirit of things the game will go on. This time it will be renewed and has new dynamics in this historical agreement previously unheard of and It will be so exciting. Hope surrounds this deal as Jerusalem is biblically a city for all nations.
Peace can and will be achieved so this is a wonderful tool to help make that happen. The Sheik states that his reason for investing is personal. His son is an avid soccer fan and will be in the highest managerial position now. The partnership is 50-50 % each respectively.
So while many will come to visit the holy places in Jerusalem an amazing new event Jerusalem now offers. The passion of who will win the games at Jerusalem! The new team with both Arabs and Jews playing for the same team, a great win before the game even starts!
Like I said it’s a new day people. Come join the great things God is doing in the Holy land, Jerusalem is the city of the great king, and the greatest king Jesus. Maybe these two partners have yet to see the whole path of peace but it sure seems the God of Israel has them in His hand for the future things to come. This paves the way for an enormous breakthrough of divisions. That’s a powerful force when we agree with God! Peace and love are the ways of the eternal God of Israel. May all nations come to know and bless the God of Israel, seeing beyond the barriers holding us back until now.
This deal lends itself to furthering the recent Abraham Accords, which breakdown some previously hostile surrounding nations in mutual joining with Israel for the sake of peace. It’s the time of Hannuka this week and we traditionally say Nes Gadol hya po, a great miracle happened here! We wish the new team great success in sport and in life! Salam and Shalom, oh yes the team will for now keep it’s original name, Beitar Yerushalim. Let the games begin!
